It took a lot to get through 2024.

On July 2nd, 2024, an evacuation order led thousands of people to evacuate the Jasper area. What happened in the hours and days that followed changed everything in this beloved Canadian community.

When Canada woke up to disaster in Jasper, everyone got to work. Donors from coast to coast to coast decided to step in and help. The impact of this national movement was just incredible. See what our teams and volunteers were up to in this new video.

The generosity of people just like you meant we could provide precious help all around the world. It meant we could provide life-saving resources to people affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters.

Ukraine

In Ukraine, we delivered training for 245 nurses since April 2024. This work builds on more than 69,000 primary healthcare consultations funded by the Canadian Red Cross since February 24, 2022.

Lebanon

Working with the Lebanese Red Cross, the Canadian Red Cross supported four Primary Health Care Centres, two Mobile Medical Units, and five Mobile Community Outreach Teams.

Middle East

In Gaza, the Canadian Red Cross, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and several other National Red Cross Societies, is operating a field hospital in Rafah. With approximately 60 beds, it can provide care for more than 200 patients daily.

Jamaica

Hurricane Beryl affected over one million people in Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, and Jamaica. Your support meant we could distribute emergency supplies to people impacted and provide support to short-term shelters.
