Thanks to the support of our donors, the Canadian Red Cross has made a significant contribution to the global fight against the Ebola outbreak.
Your generous donation has enabled the Red Cross movement to:
- deploy more than 370 international aid workers – with more than 40 from the Canadian Red Cross – to coordinate the response on the ground and provide care and dignity to Ebola patients
- establish 2 Ebola treatment centres that have received more than 600 patients
- train and mobilize more than 10,000 Red Cross volunteers on the ground to stop Ebola’s spread in affected communities
- trace and monitor over 50,000 persons at risk of contracting the virus
- provide psychosocial support to more than 75,000 people
