The Canadian Red Cross is working in close collaboration with the Wood Buffalo region and the Government of Alberta, as well as indigenous communities and local community organizations to support families and individuals as they recover from the May 2016 wildfires.
If you are:
A resident who has been affected by the Alberta fires
The Canadian Red Cross is working closely with residents impacted by the Alberta fires – including those who have returned to the Fort McMurray area and those who have not. Residents with unmet needs whose homes were severely damaged or destroyed due to the fires are encouraged to book an appointment with the Canadian Red Cross for a confidential personal assessment.
Appointments for confidential assessments can be booked by calling 1-888-553-5505.
Appointments will last approximately 45 minutes and take place from Monday through Friday at 10019B Franklin Avenue, Fort McMurray.
If you have not yet returned home to the Fort McMurray area and have unmet needs, the Red Cross is still here for you. Please call 1-888-553-5505 to schedule a phone appointment for a confidential personal assessment.
