75th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and contemporary international humanitarian law were born when Henry Dunant witnessed the devastating consequences of war at a battlefield in Solferino Italy. The Geneva Conventions – one of humanity's most important accomplishments of the last century – are turning 75 on August 12, 2024. It's a moment to celebrate all the lives the conventions have helped save, note the further work that needs to be done, and to remind the world of the importance of protecting people from the worst of warfare.

Tiffany Circle International Council

The vision of the Tiffany Circle International Council (TCIC) is to broaden the recognition of and strengthen the support for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, its mission and its fundamental principles as the leading humanitarian organization in the world. The TCIC comprises both member and staff representation from every Tiffany Circle, representation from the ICRC and IFRC, and staff members from National Societies interested in forming a Tiffany Circle. It shares best practice among its members, promotes the Tiffany Circle as a fundraising model within the Movement, encourages and supports National Societies to expand their donor base by forming their own Tiffany Circle, and organizes international events so that Tiffany Circle members across the globe can come together to socialize and learn more about the Movement that they all support. The TCIC is a recognized Community of Practice within the Movement’s Virtual Fundraising Hub.
