Today’s photo comes from the Philippine Red Cross as they continue to respond to monsoon rains that have flooded the capital of the Philippines, Metro Manila, and several provinces on the island of Luzon. As mentioned in yesterday’s Round-up, the flooding has affected more than half a million people.
It has been three days since the onset of the flooding and as the rain is supposed to continue over the coming days, the Philippine Red Cross is ready to respond at a larger-scale. The Red Cross is prepared with sleeping mats, blankets, hygiene kits, and mosquito nets to meet the needs of 20,000 families.
