Today is International Youth Day! To celebrate, the Red Cross Red Crescent has launched the Your Voice campaign. Starting today until the end of September, people around the world can express their hopes, visions and aspirations for the future through this campaign. It’s an opportunity for your voice to be heard on global humanitarian issues that will impact us for decades to come.
Participants of the Your Voice campaign are asked to voice their opinion on seven top priorities: disasters, health, peace, inequality, participation, learning and migration. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) will then present the initial findings of this initiative during upcoming discussions at the United Nations General Assembly, in November 2013 as part of the planning for the post-‘Millennium Development Goals’ period starting in 2015.
The post-2015 development agenda will shape the future for people, communities, countries and humanitarian work over the next 20 to 30 years. Together, 187 Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies can collectively engage people throughout the world to shape the common goals and ambitions for post-2015.
