Photo of the Day: Red Cross Society of China provides relief to earthquake survivors

The Red Cross Society of China is working to provide relief to survivors of a series of earthquakes that struck an underdeveloped southwestern region of China on Friday September 7th. More than 80 people have been reported dead and more than 6,000 houses have been destroyed. Pictured above is one of the main evacuation centres where Red Cross tents and relief supplies are being provided. The Red Cross Society of China has distributed thousands of quilts and jackets throughout the region.
