Canadian Red Cross fundraiser in Montreal

An annual gala dinner hosted by the Canadian Red Cross in Montreal last Thursday was a resounding success thanks to donors and supporters who helped raise more than $1.2 million for local disaster responses in Quebec. It was beautiful event with Japanese-themed decor and special guests. From left to right: Martine Turcotte, Bell's Vice Chair who presided over the event, Michèle Dionne, a long time Red Cross volunteer and the honourary president of the event who received the Order of the Red Cross that evening, the Japanese ambassador to Canada Kaoru Ishikawa and his wife, and the director general of the Canadian Red Cross in Quebec, Michel Léveillé.
