Every Tuesday, we publish a photo to show Red Cross at work across the province or around the world. Do you have a photo to share? Let us know!
After an earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan last month, Matthew Sketchley decided to do his part to raise funds to help people affected by the disaster. He agreed to shave off his long locks in exchange for donations. Last Thursday, Matthew presented a cheque for $900 to the Canadian Red Cross on behalf of Eric Graves Memorial Junior High School in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He also kept his promise to shave his head, with some help from Ancel Langille of the Canadian Red Cross and one of his teachers.
