Virtual Congraduations to SEC Class of 2020

Southeast Collegiate (SEC) is a high school for First Nations youth who come from northern communities to study in Winnipeg.
 
Over the last several years, the Red Cross Violence Prevention team has had the opportunity to provide workshops for SEC students, covering topics like Healthy Youth Relationships and Psychological First Aid.
 
It has been an honour and a pleasure to work with these students.
 
Like many classes, SEC graduates were unable to hold a ceremony because of COVID-19 restrictions. They returned to their home communities and ended their school year early.
 
We want to send our virtual, heartfelt congratulations to the SEC graduating class of 2020. During this global pandemic, you have shown a core of resilience that has allowed you to complete an important milestone in your life. We are encouraged by your hard work and your hope for the future. We look forward to seeing you explore this new world and supporting your communities.
