The Canadian Red Cross and our partners are pleased to invite you to attend the 2022 Atlantic IHL Conference.

Modern-day conflicts profiled in the media have triggered wide-spread interest in humanitarian issues. This event designed for university students, legal professionals, humanitarian workers, and educators will tackle the complexities of modern-day conflicts to provide you with a better understanding of the pressing issues in International Humanitarian Law (IHL), which can be defined as the rule of international law limiting the use of violence in armed conflicts for humanitarian reasons.

This free, bilingual, half-day public conference will include discussion from field experts, academics, and those with lived experience in conflict zones. It is hoped the conference will take place in-person, but health restrictions may necessitate a virtual event.

Join us as we examine armed conflict through the lens of IHL.
