February 23th 2019 Vancouver International Humanitarian Law Conference

International Humanitarian Law (IHL) limits and prevents human suffering in armed conflict.  Join us as we examine contemporary issues which could include the use of child soldiers, displacement of people, and the increasing trend of urban warfare.  This conference will bring together experts from the fields, including academics, and representatives from the Red Cross Movement, to discuss the challenges of respecting IHL and their potential solutions.  Check back in late fall 2018 for new details on the theme of this year’s event.
