The Canadian Red Cross provided support for individuals and families who were forced to evacuate their homes and communities because of the 2018 British Columbia wildfires in the days, months, and years that have followed.
Support was also provided for businesses and not-for-profits that were impacted by the fires. We have seen how small businesses and not-for-profits play an important role as communities recover from disasters.
We were also able to help support community gatherings that helped bring people together after the fires. Gatherings can help reduce isolation, celebrate resiliency and share important information about support that is available.
