Canadian Red Cross: $10 Text-To-Donate Terms and Conditions

• 100% of your text message donation gets passed through your wireless carrier to the Mobile Giving Foundation Canada, who in turn passes this on to the Canadian Red Cross. All service fees related to running the Canadian Red Cross’ mobile giving programs are paid to an application service provider separate from the funds donated. *Fundraising costs, including trust fund management, related to any emergency appeal will not exceed eight per cent.  The Canadian Red Cross ensures that the largest possible amount of Canadians’ donations will be used to support people affected by the emergency.
• To complete a donation you must text the keyword to the short code and then confirm your donation with a reply of YES when prompted.
• If the keyword or short code you text are invalid you may be charged your standard network text message fee. You will not be charged the donation amount as you will not have successfully made a donation to the Canadian Red Cross.
• Unless otherwise stated, there will be no refunds for the cost of any SMS text made or for any misdialled short codes or misspelled keywords.
• All supporters must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to send a text donation to the Canadian Red Cross.
• The Canadian Red Cross may contact you occasionally via text message or phone to provide you with updates, tell you about our important work and how you can help.  If you would like to opt-out of any future text messages please text STOP to 45678. If you would like to stop receiving communications by phone please contact our donor relations team by calling 1-800-418-1111, emailing WeCare@redcross.ca or by texting NOTHANKS to 45678.
• For any emergency appeals, if we raise more money than we can reasonably spend on the appeal, we will use your donation to respond to humanitarian disasters overseas or in Canada wherever the need is greatest.
