By clicking “I Accept”, you authorize the Canadian Red Cross Society (“CRCS”) to collect, use and disclose (“Process”) the personal information (“PI”) you submit in this application in accordance with the terms of CRCS’s Privacy Policy, which you agree you have read and understand in its entirety. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree that CRCS may Process your PI for the purposes of (a) assessing your suitability for career opportunities with the CRCS; (b) communicating with you with respect to your application; (c) providing additional information about the recruiting process and about the CRCS; (d) completing the hiring or onboarding process for successful candidates; and (e) otherwise as permitted or required by applicable law (collectively, the “Purposes”).
You understand and agree that your PI may be accessible to specific employees of the CRCS, including employees in the People Services departments, who have a need to know such PI to perform their duties and responsibilities in connection with the Purposes. Other CRCS employees directly involved with recruiting activities may have access to PI, with restricted access based on their user-role assignment.
You also understand and agree that your PI will be electronically stored by and accessible to our third-party service providers, for the purposes of tracking your application and our decisions regarding your application, and hosting and maintaining our database.
CRCS’s general practice is to store PI in Canada; however, some service providers may access or store my PI outside of Canada. Information that is transferred or stored outside Canada may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national authorities in other countries. I understand that I may contact CRC’s Privacy Officer, as described below, with any questions about the collection, use, disclosure, or storage of personal information by its service providers outside Canada or to obtain written information about its policies and practices with respect to service providers outside Canada.
You acknowledge that the security, integrity, and privacy of any PI exchanged between you and the CRCS and its service providers through our database cannot be guaranteed, and that any such PI may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.
You understand that any questions or concerns relating to how CRCS and its service providers Process your PI, requests to access or correct any PI CRCS holds about you, and/or requests to obtain written information about CRCS’s policies and practices relating to its service providers outside of Canada should be directed to CRCS’s Privacy Officer by emailing privacy@redcross.ca.
