Chris Getzlaf, Luc Mullinder and Regina students at Red Cross and Saskatchewan Roughrider partnership announcement earlier this year.
This prairie girl doesn’t want to brag, but did you see who is in the Grey Cup in Regina this week? That’s right, those are my Saskatchewan Roughriders. I will be in the crowd cheering loud for the team that supports our Red Cross youth program all year long.
Did you know that Chris Getzlaf, Scott McHenry and Keith Shologan spend their off season working for the Red Cross? They deliver bullying prevention presentations at schools throughout the province. Last year they made sure that more than 7,800 youth knew they could help make bullying a thing of the past. They talk about their experiences with bullying and how it makes a big difference when youth intervene in these situations. Having this message coming from someone kids look up to really helps drive the lessons home.
Players like Chris, Scott and Keith choose to make a difference in our communities so our whole Red Cross office is choosing to support them right back.
