Photo of the Day: The drive for universal bed-net coverage in Cross River State, Nigeria

Every day, we publish a photo to show the Red Cross at work across the country or around the world. Do you have a photo to share? Let us know!

A team of volunteers from the Nigerian Red Cross is going door-to-door in Ugep, Nigeria to distribute and hang mosquito nets up in every household. Just over 3,000 community-based volunteers were trained to conduct a door-to-door distribution and hang-up campaign of long-lasting insecticide treated nets (LLINs) in order to reach universal coverage in Cross River State.  The volunteers were also trained on how to convey key messages about net use and maintenance.
