Photo Tuesday: Baseball vets raise money to strike out violence and abuse

Every Tuesday, we publish a photo to show Red Cross at work across the province or around the world. Do you have a photo to share? Let us know!

A big thanks to The Fergie Jenkins Foundation which recently raised $6,500 for the Canadian Red Cross RespectED: Violence and Abuse Prevention program at the annual Sports Memorabilia Expo in Toronto.

Former Major Leaguers Tony Oliva, Fergie Jenkins, Eddie Murray, Dick Williams and Jim Bunning raised the money by signing autographs in return for a donation to RespectED. The money will be presented to the Red Cross next month at the Fergie Jenkins Golf Tournament in Niagara.

Thank you so much for your support!
