December 5 marks International Volunteer Day and what better way to celebrate than to pay tribute to all Red Cross volunteers around the world who make a difference every day.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) recently tweeted about this video entitled “Get Inspired” – and it definitely lives up to its name. The video, created by the IFRC, has a series of images of Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers in action across the planet.
Here in Canada, thousands of volunteers make a difference in their communities every day through the work of the Red Cross. Whether responding to disasters, assisting with community health programs, teaching others about humanitarian issues, or assisting with other community initiatives, each one of our volunteers makes a world of difference just by donating a bit of their talents and time.
