Honda Canada Foundation helps the Canadian Red Cross increase support on the ground when disaster strikes. Together, we’re working hard to protect our communities across the country from the unexpected. That means every Canadian can be supported in times of emergency.

$50 = $150: Hygiene supplies for three families for a month in refugee camps.

$75 = $225: Gives groceries for a week to a Canadian family to help them get back on their feet after disaster.

$150 = $450: Provides 3 nights of emergency accommodation so that a family in Canada has one less thing to worry about after disaster.

Have you reached the maximum match amount? What happens if you do not meet your match goal?: The Honda Canada foundation 3X match receives many donations. We are confident we will meet our goal. While every single dollar matters, some gifts may not qualify for a match due to eligibility requirements. We cannot provide real time updates on the donation match or on the match status of single donations.
What will you use these funds for?: The funds raised during this campaign are “undesignated”. That means we will use your donation wherever the current need is greatest. In our 100+ years helping those in need, we have found undesignated donations to be the most effective approach.
Will tax receipts include 3x my donation?: Due to CRA rules and regulations, your tax receipt will only display your donation amount. The 3x impact of your gift will be felt by those who need it most.
I made my donation late, or mailed in a cheque before the deadline. Will it still be matched?: If your donation was dated within the match period, it will be matched if the goal not yet been fulfilled. This applies even if we receive it a few weeks late. While every single dollar matters, some gifts may not qualify for a match—for example, if our match goal has been met.
