Swim @ School offers fun-filled approach to water safety for children

Swimming is one of the best activities that a child can engage in to boost overall wellness - not to mention have a great time! But if your son or daughter is uneasy in the water, this could prevent him or her from developing confidence while swimming, which is crucial to mastering this vital skill.

Offered by the Canadian Red Cross, a leader in swimming and water safety across the country, Swim @ School is a fun-filled and participation-based program that helps school-aged children gain essential swimming abilities while picking up invaluable water safety habits.

Inspired by Red Cross Swim, a leading national program that offers an active, engaging approach to swimming and water safety education, Swim @ School allows kids to build confidence through in-water training and educational activities. From improving a front and back crawl to gliding and learning how to properly breathe in the water, your children will be kicking and splashing merrily in the pool before you know it!

Water safety is a major component of Swim @ School, and is taught through Water Safety Brain Games. With Brain Games, your child will learn how to recognize and prevent a potentially dangerous situation and  how to respond in the event of an emergency.

One of the finest aspects of Swim @ School is how instructors strive to create an engaging and enjoyable experience for all children. It doesn't matter if your son or daughter is having a difficult time with a certain swim technique - Swim @ School's passionate and dedicated instructors can make sure your child has the time of his or her life.

Best of all, by tracking your son or daughter's progress in the water, Swim @ School's instructors can also ensure that he or she receives the appropriate attention. And because Swim @ School is available to children at various levels, you can rest assured that your son or daughter will reach his or her maximum potential.

For more than 60 years, the Canadian Red Cross has offered swim instruction for people of all ages, and each year, more than one million Canadians benefit from these spectacular programs!
