Harvey Wyers

Harvey Wyers is a labour and social activist from Hanmer, Ontario. In addition to his 10 years with Human Resources Development Canada, Harvey was a Sessional Professor in Labour Studies at Laurentian University for four years. He has a degree in Political Science from Laurentian.
As a long-time Red Cross volunteer, Harvey has held many roles in the organization. He’s been a member of the Board of Directors since 2013, is the Past Chair for the Sudbury Branch, Chaired the Northern Region Council and Vice-Chaired the Ontario Zone Council. Harvey is also a disaster management volunteer, fundraiser and has acted as a spokesperson for Red Cross in Sudbury.
Harvey’s volunteer board experience includes work with Oxfam, the Sudbury Community Legal Clinic, and the United Way.
