How does the Family Tracing Service work?
In order to begin the process of finding family members, people need to place an inquiry with the Canadian Red Cross. To begin the trace, the following information needs to be provided:
The full name of the person to be traced
His or her age or date of birth
The names of the person's father and mother
The last known address
The date of last communication
The reason for the search and separation
Personal information of the inquirer, including name, date of birth and relationship to sought-after individual
