Walmart Canada exceeds its campaign target and raises $3.1 million for the Canadian Red Cross

November 12, 2015 - Walmart Canada announced today that its annual Canadian Red Cross fundraising campaign raised $3.1 million to support disaster preparedness and response activities for communities across the country. This amount, which goes beyond the campaign target initially set at $2.6 million, includes more than $2.1 million in donations from customers across the country, a matching contribution of over $775,000 from Walmart Canada as well as donations of Walmart gift cards and blankets for families affected by disasters.

Gala benefit for the Red Cross in Quebec: $700,000 raised for emergency relief operations

May 21, 2015 - Montreal, May 21, 2015 – Guests attending the annual fundraiser for the Quebec Division of the Canadian Red Cross had the privilege of being transported to the heart of Marrakesh as Montreal’s New City Gas was clothed in Moroccan finery for the occasion. This colourful event raised $700,000 to support disaster response operations in Quebec. The financial information was disclosed by the co-chairs of the organizing committee including Norman Steinberg, Global Vice-Chair of Norton Rose Fulbright and Chairman of Norton Rose Fulbright Canada, Martin Thibodeau, President, Quebec Headquarters, RBC Royal Bank, and honorary chair Michèle Dionne, a Red Cross volunteer. 

Aviva Canada partners with the Canadian Red Cross to support disaster preparedness and response through the Ready When the Time Comes program
