Here at A.P. Reid Insurance Stores, we pride ourselves on being the first line of response when our clients experience an emergency.  All too often we deal with people when they are at their lowest points – after an apartment fire, car accident, burglary or other disaster.  It is our responsibility to give as much support as possible and help them to get through the crisis as smoothly as we can.

Even with all our efforts to respond to emergencies instantly, the Canadian Red Cross is already on the scene day after day across our region whenever there is a fire, flood, major storm or other disaster.  In fact, the Red Cross responds to hundreds of individual emergencies in Atlantic Canada every year.  Whenever one of our clients has a house fire, flood or other disaster, there on the scene - will be the Red Cross.  They show up with emergency kits, food, cots, blankets, advice and a big heart.   

It is because of this committed team of volunteers across our region that A.P. Reid has chosen the Canadian Red Cross as our corporate charity partner and that we are pleased to be a supporter of the Be Ready outreach campaign.

It is all too easy to forget that you need to adequately prepare for emergencies.  Be Ready is an excellent way to teach people the importance of preparing for disasters ahead of time, and reminding people what items are essential to have in the house in order to be ready.
