Tiffany Circle

Honorary Chair: Laureen Teskey Harper

Laureen Teskey Harper is the wife of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Honorary Chair of the Canadian Red Cross, Tiffany Circle.  Laureen has a long history of involvement with the Canadian Red Cross and is motivated to help fulfill the Red Cross mission of assisting those most vulnerable.

Co-Chair: Ela Landegger

Ela Landegger is a volunteer, philanthropist and Co-Chair of the Canadian Red Cross’ Tiffany Circle.

Born in New York to Polish immigrants, Ela was raised on three continents, and has recently become a Canadian Citizen.  She has a long family history of involvement with the Red Cross and was a recipient of Red Cross assistance herself when her family lost their home to a fire many years ago. She became involved with the Canadian Red Cross while organizing a disaster preparedness workshop for the American Women’s Club in Oakville, Ontario and is a proud advocate for the organization.

Ela received a degree in economics and French from Holy Cross, and has a professional background in public relations, marketing, finance and event management. She has been involved at the governance level with various charitable organizations in the United States and Canada.

Co-Chair: Tanja Mirazic

Tanja Mirazic is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Red Cross, Tiffany Circle as well as a Wealth Advisor for ScotiaMcLeod.

Tanja first heard about the Tiffany Circle during a vacation at a ranch in the US. While there, she met chairperson of the American Red Cross, Tiffany Circle who inspired Tanja to become involved with the Canadian Red Cross. She is passionate about the importance of first aid training and the work of the Red Cross. 

Tanja has more than 12 years of experience in the investment services industry. She has presented at hundreds of seminars, participated in economic panels and guest lectured at Canadian universities. She is also extremely active and involved at the governance level with various charities in her community.  Tanja is a volleyball team coach, and an avid skier and golfer.

Co-chair: Juliana Sprott

Juliana Sprott is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Red Cross, Tiffany Circle as well as the President of The Sprott Foundation.

Juliana and her family have had a long history with the Canadian Red Cross.  Her compassion for those in need and enthusiasm for life’s possibilities motivates her involvement in the community and work at The Sprott Foundation.   

Born in Toronto, Juliana received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. She then went on to have a successful career in sports broadcasting before taking on her current role as president of her family’s charitable foundation.

Juliana is bilingual in English and French, and has traveled to 30 countries around the world.

Steering Cabinet Member: Lesley Flaminio

Lesley is happily married to Dan and has four wonderful children. Over the last couple of years she has found that her children need her less and it has allowed her to become more active in the community. Lesley is involved with the Parents' Association at her children's school, most recently as President, she is also a proud supporter of Friends of the Orphans Canada and has travelled on two service trips to Peru and Guatemala with this amazing organization. Lesley enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.

The Canadian Tiffany Circle seems like a perfect fit for Lesley as she has more time to devote to volunteerism on a local, national and even international level.

Steering Cabinet Member: Siobhan Furst

Siobhan is married to Ian Furst and has two teenage sons - Liam and Thomas.  After working for 15 years in forensic and paediatric nursing she took a break to stay home.  She is now just getting back to work in a new small business venture.  Siobhan is involved as a race designer in the Grand River Amazing Race and in her son's school parent council.  She has connections to similar work over the years as an instructor in swimming, first aid and CPR.

Steering Cabinet Member: Miranda Hubbs

Miranda spent 18 years in the finance industry as a research analyst and investment banker with a large Canadian brokerage firm, and then as Executive Vice President and Managing Director at one of Canada's largest institutional money managers. In 2010 and 2011, Miranda received the Brendan Wood International Top Gun Awards as one of the Top 50 Portfolio Managers in Canada and for the Top Investment Minds in Oil and Gas in Canada.

Miranda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Business Administration from York University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuator designations.

Steering Cabinet Member: Jean Lam

Jean retired from the Ontario Public Service in July 2011 having served in senior positions in various ministries ranging from Energy; Consumer and Commercial Relations; Tourism and Recreation; Economic Development, Trade and Tourism. Her most recent position was as the Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport.

A committed Red Cross volunteer since the 1980's, she is currently on the Toronto Region Red Cross Council and chairs the Governance/Nominations Committee, and represents Red Cross on the Toronto United Way Community Impact Committee. She recently joined the Board of Trustees for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Jean met her husband Paul Ostrander at the University of Waterloo. He is the President/CEO of Holcim Canada and has been involved in many large construction projects across Canada.

Steering Cabinet Member: Mari McAndrews

Mari McAndrews is a Steering Cabinet Member of the Canadian Red Cross, Tiffany Circle.

Originally from the United States, Mari has lived in several places over the years, including Chicago, Philadelphia and Tokyo. She currently lives in Kitchener, Ontario with her husband and their two children.  While living in the US, Mari was a volunteer for various programs and services with the American Red Cross. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of the Red Cross family again, this time with the Canadian Red Cross.

Mari has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a MBA. She has worked in the past in the financial and medical equipment industries. In addition to her volunteer work with the Canadian Red Cross, she is also an active volunteer at her children’s school.
