
Community Engagement Coordinator
Program/Department: Fund Development Location: Winnipeg
Purpose:
- Assist the Fund Development Team by representing the Red Cross at community events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in researching community events.
- Understand the dynamics of how community fundraisers are organized.
- Set up relevant display booths and material.
- Participate in the event and be prepared to speak on behalf of the Red Cross.
- Coordinate/oversee other volunteers as necessary.
Time Commitment:
- Days, evenings and weekend availability, flexible scheduling.
- Commit to day of the event.
- Commit to a minimum of one year
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and decision making.
- Reliable
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work a variety of flexible times (days, eves and occasional weekend)..
Requirements:
- Understand and support the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.
- Completion of successful Criminal Records and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence.
Training & Orientation:
- Intro to Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.
- Fund Development training as required.
