International events and conflicts can find their way into the school yards, shopping malls and street corners in communities across the BC Coastal Region.

Canada has an important role to play on the international scene and is engaged in trying to help solve some of the world’s most alarming humanitarian emergencies.

Public willingness to act, however, depends first on awareness.

Before we can formulate an effective response, we must motivate people in Canada to model humanitarian values, take action and be global citizens.
