The Tiffany Circle is a society of women leaders and philanthropists. By investing $10,000 annually in their local Red Cross, these women follow in the footsteps of a long line of women leaders who have helped the Red Cross serve the most vulnerable people during times of war and peace with disaster assistance, safety training and countless other programs unique to each community. The name Tiffany and the $10,000 amount have historical precedent. The Circle is named after the beautiful Tiffany windows at the American Red Cross headquarters produced by Tiffany Studios in 1917. As an act of reconciliation and hope, they were paid for with a $5,000 gift from the Women’s Relief Corps of the North and $5,000 from the United Daughters of the Confederacy of the South. An International Network of WomenThe American Red Cross started the first Tiffany Circle in 2007. Today they have over 600 members across the US contributing $8.5 million annually. Based on this success, National Societies of the Red Cross are working together internationally to launch the Tiffany Circle in countries around the world. Canada, Britain, Ireland and France are actively establishing this program and other countries such as the Netherlands, Mexico, Pakistan and Japan are interested as well. What is the ultimate goal? A strong, international Tiffany Circle, providing unique opportunities for women to engage in the Red Cross and network with other like-minded Tiffany Circle members around the globe. The Canadian Tiffany CircleThe creation and launch of a Canadian Tiffany Circle is being spearheaded by our Honourary Chair, Mrs. Laureen Harper and our volunteer Steering Cabinet. The Tiffany Circle is gathering momentum in cities across the country and members who join by September 2012 will be known as Founding Members of the Canadian Tiffany Circle. Many Ways to Help.Participation in the Tiffany Circle requires an annual gift of $10,000. This can be made as a one-time gift, through multiple payments, automatic monthly donations or through the transfer of marketable securities. A Tiffany Circle member can also be sponsored, with a donation made on your behalf by a relative, a corporation, or a foundation.
