Specialty First Aid

Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED
Includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines and meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid.

This course provides an overview of First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment for individuals who care for infants or children in the workplace or at home. Covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.

Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED
Includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines and meets OHS regulations for Standard First Aid.

Comprehensive First Aid & CPR training for individuals who need training for child care or early childhood education work, or who simply want more knowledge to respond to babies’ and children’s injuries and emergencies at home. The course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.

Wilderness & Remote First Aid
Our basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid & CPR is for individuals who recreate or live in isolated or wilderness settings and need to respond to emergencies when advanced care is not immediately available. The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas as well as offers strategies to provide extended care for up to 24 hours.

Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid
Comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for individuals who are interested in taking longer excursions or live in isolated communities and want a higher level of training. The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus advanced procedures and strategies to provide extended care for more than 24 hours.

Marine Basic First Aid
Includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Meets Transport Canada Training Program Standards in Marine First Aid (TP 13008E).

This course provides an overview of First Aid and CPR techniques with scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry. The course covers the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for all age groups; CPR Level C; and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies, as well as prevention of disease transmission.

Marine Advanced First Aid

Course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008.

Comprehensive first aid and CPR techniques and scenarios for those who need a higher level of training to work and respond to emergencies in a marine setting. Designed for any person who wants to obtain a rating certificate, endorsement, or a Master or Officer certification, and for those providing first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-coastal voyage, class 1, or on board a vessel on unlimited waters.
