Through our annual campaigns, Red Cross promotes attitudes and practices to encourage the safe enjoyment of water activities throughout the summer months.

National Lifejacket Day occurs prior to the first long weekend of the summer season and aims to encourage and normalize lifejacket use among all Canadian boaters.

Water Safety Week occurs during the first full week in June, and is intended to highlight the importance of swimming education and water safety.
