World Disasters Report 2008
The focus of this year’s Report, in its 16th year of publication, is HIV and AIDS. Building on the 2007 World Disasters Report coverage of discrimination, the 2008 report focuses on the HIV and AIDS crisis and argues that it should be given much higher priority in disaster management programs, whether in preparedness and risk reduction, or during emergency response and recovery.
