This is a clerical customer service position providing support to all programs and clients by walk-in or telephone to the Campbell River office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide the required customer service to walk-in clients including direct service to Health Equipment Loan clients – by processing client requests using a specialized Red Cross equipment database and providing them with health care equipment
Manage all incoming telephone calls
Ensure building security by monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic
Encourage and accept donations and issue receipts as per Red Cross guidelines
Complete other applicable duties as assigned
Follow up on overdue equipment
Maintain inventory
Report inventory shortages to the depot coordinator
Understand and uphold the Red Cross Fundamental Principles and Mission Statement
Work as part of a Red Cross team of staff and volunteers to deliver Red Cross programs and services
Qualifications:
Thrives in an environment where multi-tasking and organizational skills are required
Has some knowledge of basic administrative tasks
Has experience working with computers, data entry experience would be beneficial, but not mandatory
Experience working with or knowledge of health equipment would be an asset
Must be physically able to handle and move objects weighing up to 20lbs (bending, lifting, and carrying)
Time Commitment:
Requested to commit to one shift per week during office hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
