In July 2000, Summerhill Impact, in partnership with the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, launched Car Heaven - an accelerated vehicle retirement program.
Vehicles collected through the Car Heaven program are environmentally recycled and the proceeds raised are donated to charities working in Ontario such as the Canadian Red Cross. Individuals choosing Car Heaven to retire their vehicle for the benefit of the Canadian Red Cross are eligible to receive a charitable income tax receipt. The program accepts 2003 vehicle models and older.
