Conference on Disaster Management

Move Your World: Global Issues Youth Conference - Apply to Be a Participant!

Presented by the Canadian Red Cross and the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation. Move Your World is a four-day, eye-opening event for Atlantic Canadians 15 to 18 years of age. Move Your World is designed to bring a diverse group of youth together in a rural setting, to address local and global issues, in an interactive and exciting educational environment. Issues of peace and conflict, climate change, children and war, gender equity, poverty and food security amongst other issues will be addressed in a safe community setting. 2012 Humanitarian Awards Gala and Dinner
The Humanitarian Award and Young Humanitarian Award are presented annually to individuals who have demonstrated the spirit of humanity through volunteer work, advocacy, leadership and/or philanthropy in their community or around the world. The Canadian Red Cross humanitarian awards dinner honouring recipient Dr. Martha Jodrey and young humanitarian recipient Samantha Miller will be held at the Cunard Centre in Halifax on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
