Annual General Meeting 2002

The Canadian Red Cross Society's 93rd Annual General Meeting (October 5) was held in conjunction with a series of special events and a symposium in Montreal from October 3 to 5, 2002.

Guests from the Magen David Adom of Israel and Palestine Red Crescent spoke at the Humanitarian Dinner on October 3, highlighting the challenges of working in a conflict zone and the humanitarian values they cherish.

The following day a symposium with the theme "Towards Global Social Responsibility" was held. The symposium brought together experts in the private, public and not-for-profit sector to exchange information with the goal of developing mutual understanding and long term perspectives founded in humanitarian principles and values.
