World Disasters Report 2001
The Society provides personal disaster assistance to victims of emergencies in Canada as part of local emergency response plans. It also provides help through partnership agreements with federal, provincial and municipal governments.
The World Disasters Report 2001 focuses on recovery. The 2001 edition of the World Disasters Report looks at how humanitarian agencies and governments can best help disasters - affected communities to recover, to become stronger and more disaster resilient. How can the gaps between short-term relief and longer-term recovery be bridged?
