The mission of National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Africa is to help vulnerable communities become strong and resilient. Thousands of dedicated volunteers and staff members in Africa work day and night, often in extreme and dangerous conditions, to meet this goal. The Canadian Red Cross is proud to partner with National Societies in Africa. The Canadian Red Cross supports our Sister Societies in Africa as they implement programs that improve the health of women and children, reduce risks from disasters and help communities rebuild after conflict and disaster. Their unwavering passion and dedication are making a difference in Africa and our support provides them with the resources to be strong and reach more people in need. We believe that strong African Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are vital to real and lasting change for African communities.
