Swimming & Boating Safety

For more than 65 years Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety programs have maintained a tradition of excellence. Through our innovative learn-to-swim continuum as well as public education, the Red Cross helps Canadians develop healthy, positive attitudes and stay safe in, on and around water. Our latest water safety poll can be found here.

Drowning Research

The Red Cross aims to prevent water-related injuries and fatalities through our swimming programs and water safety education. As a leader in drowning research, our programs are developed based on research findings, which allows us to address current issues and trends, and design programs aimed at reducing the number of drownings and other water-related incidents.
