Red Cross Pink Day in Ontario

In 2007, two high school students in Nova Scotia spoke out against bullying. Travis Price and David Sheppard asked their peers to wear pink to school after they heard a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Their act of kindness sparked a worldwide movement that continues to grow.  The Canadian Red Cross celebrates Pink Day on the fourth Wednesday in February by bringing together schools and communities to wear the Pink Day T-shirt and stand together against bullying.

The tenth anniversary of Pink Day is February 28, 2018, but we can celebrate its spirit and spread kindness every day.

Each Red Cross Pink Day T-shirt purchased in the workplace is another youth reached through Red Cross “Beyond the Hurt” bullying prevention education.
