Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Canadian Red Cross. Help make a difference by volunteering in Toronto.

What positions can I volunteer for in Toronto? 

Meals on Wheels (help is urgently needed!)

The Meals on Wheels program in the Etobicoke area is a service which delivers hot or frozen nourishing meals to persons who are unable to attend to their own nutritional needs but still wish to continue living independently in the community. Volunteers deliver meals, provide social contact and monitor the well-being of the clients.

Scarborough Drop-In Centre

The Scarborough Drop-In Centre assists the homeless and marginally housed individuals in accessing the basic necessities of, food, clothing, housing, foot care and general healthcare services. Volunteers serve meals as well as assist with set up, clean up duties and participant engagement.

Scarborough Food Bank

The Scarborough Food Bank is a service that provides food hampers to homeless and marginally-housed individuals. Volunteers assist with the organization and distribution of food hampers to participants, provide referrals when appropriate and maintain orderly files and record keeping.

Mobile Food Bank

The Mobile Food Bank is a unique service which provides hampers to isolated clients that are unable to access their local food banks. Volunteers deliver food hampers, provide social contact and monitor the well-being of the clients.
