Power of Humanity Awards

Every year, the Canadian Red Cross honours the spirit of humanity in Manitoba by recognizing the incredible contributions of local humanitarians. For the eighth straight year, the Canadian Red Cross is recognizing deserving Manitobans at the annual Power of Humanity Luncheon on Sept. 7, 2018 at the Fairmont Winnipeg. If you know someone who is deserving of recognition for their volunteerism, advocacy and philanthropy, click above to find the nomination form.

Every Day is Pink Day in Manitoba

The Canadian Red Cross believes that every child should be treated with respect. This means we work to prevent bullying every day of the year. In 2018, the Canadian Red Cross is celebrating two Pink Days to promote bullying prevention. The first day was on Feb. 28, the second Pink Day will be on April 11. We hope schools and workplaces will join us in promoting the importance of standing up to bullying and being someone’s hero.

Rescuer Award

The Red Cross Rescuer Award acknowledges non-professional rescuers or off-duty first responders who have: volunteered to save a life; prevented further injury and/or provided comfort to the injured; or are children who were not trained but provided help (i.e. activated EMS).
