Cost: free

  • Learn to implement practical activities dealing with global conflict such as refugees, child soldiers, gender-based violence and attacks on civilians, hospitals and schools using an easy-to-use, adaptable toolkit aimed at students 13 – 18 years of age.
  • This training will be of particular interest to teachers of: Social Studies, Asian Studies, 20th Century History, Social Justice, Genocide Studies, and Law.
  • Includes instruction from the National Senior Legal Advisor of the Canadian Red Cross, a representative of the Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Canadian Armed Forces, and teachers currently using the EHL curriculum in their classrooms
  • Participants will receive an EHL toolkit, a Canada & Conflict toolkit, curriculum maps and a certificate upon completion.
