British Columbia Floods 2018

The Canadian Red Cross is supporting local authorities to meet the urgent needs of flood-impacted residents in BC.

If you’re a flood-impacted resident in the Midway / Grand Forks / Kootenay Boundary region please register with Canadian Red Cross by calling 1-800-863-6582 OR visit your nearest reception centre and shelter:

Grand Forks, BC: Grand Forks Curling Centre, 7230 21st Street – 9am to 6pm.

Emergency Social Services are on site at the reception centres to help with urgent needs such as water, food, clothing, personal needs, blankets, family reunification, and cots.

For those individuals and families returning home in the Regional District Kootenay Boundary, clean-up kits can be picked up from the reception centre in Grand Forks from 9am - 6pm.
 
For residents in the Osoyoos area impacted by floods:
 
Those affected by evacuation orders in the Osoyoos area can register at the ESS Reception Centre:

If you’re a flood-impacted resident anywhere in B.C. you can contact your local authority for more information on Emergency Social Services and reception centres in your area. Important evacuation information may also be available on local authority websites and social media accounts. Please call Emergency Social Services toll free in B.C. at: 1-800-585-9559 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday if you require information on Reception Centre locations and hours of operation or require further assistance regarding Emergency Social Services. Referrals cannot be completed over the phone.
