Chiran Livera is a Program Officer for the International Emergency Response team at the Canadian Red Cross. A Simon Fraser University alum, he is trained in humanitarian relief management in complex emergencies and also has a facilitation background in international humanitarian law, armed conflict and active global citizenship. Chiran joined the Canadian Red Cross as a youth volunteer in 2004 and he will be in Haiti for three months to assist with shelter assessment initiatives and distribution of relief items.
Cheryl Kelly is currently serving as the Human Resources Advisor for the Canadian Red Cross' Overseas Personnel Department. She will be working in Haiti to help set up the personnel component of the Canadian Red Cross operation. Cheryl will interview and hire local staff, welcome and help brief staff from Canada and implement human resources policies and procedures.
Nathalie Angibeau is the visits coordinator for the Canadian Red Cross in Haiti. She brings a wealth of experience from her time as a political advisor for the Government of Quebec and as a public relation coordinator in the private sector. Nathalie has volunteer experience with several community organizations, including the Youth Haitian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal. Nathalie has visited Haiti on several occasions, including as an International Election Observer in 2006. She is currently working in Haiti for six months where she plans official visits to the field for the Canadian Red Cross delegation.
