The Red Cross is saving and changing lives in Haiti
January 10, 2011

When an earthquake rocked Haiti and shattered people’s lives on January 12, 2010, the Red Cross responded immediately, providing clean water, shelter, and medical attention for millions of people in dire need. A year later, the Red Cross has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people living in Haiti.
Meet Jean Gavel Thomas –owner of a new Red Cross shelter.
My name is Jean Gavel Thomas, I am a resident of Lafferonnay. I would like to thank the Red Cross who has been providing assistance in Haiti since January 12, 2010 and in particular the Red Cross staff who are working in Lafferonnay...
I am one of the beneficiaries who have received a shelter built by the Red Cross. I want to let you know that I am very happy. I wanted to say thank you to Red Cross volunteers and staff for the good work that the Red Cross is doing in the country.
Progress is being made every day and is making life better for Jean and others like him. The road to recovery for Haiti will be long and challenging, but now it will also be full of hope.
