Flood Relief

Note: The following appeal is now closed.  You can support our ongoing work by donating to the Canadian Red Cross

It is estimated that over 237 million people have been affected by severe flooding. The continuous monsoon rains and cyclones have caused misery to millions in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, China and Sudan affecting some of the poorest populations in the world. Flash floods and landslides have destroyed thousands of villages, farmland and vital roads. Food, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities and shelter are urgently needed in many areas.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is working to provide emergency relief to all the affected countries. Volunteers are delivering food, water and basic healthcare to thousands of families who have lost everything in the floods.

Canadian Red Cross is appealing to Canadians to give generously to support the tremendous humanitarian needs across Asia in response to devastating floods that have brought widespread devastation to millions.
