1960s

Red Cross services were improved by the developments in scientific research to improve the health of Canadians. Such services included the establishment of a rare blood donor registry and the production of cryoprecipitate, which is used to treat hemophilia. Also during this time, Rh immunoglobulin, which gives newborns of Rh-negative mothers a better chance of survival was improved.
