Nicolas Gauvin is a Canadian Red Cross aid worker who was recently in DPRK to work on this project.

Nicolas Gauvin, a Red Crosser from Canada was recently working in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. He describes some projects the Red Cross is working on to improve the healthcare infrastructure, including gravity-fed water supply systems for hospitals.

As seen in the photo above, the Red Cross is also helping to build greenhouses on the outskirts of cities to increase vegetable production. In conditions of extreme drought, initiatives like this can make the difference between a nutritional deficit and self-sufficiency.
