Imagine a day dedicated to giving back... around the world, across Canada and in your own community. Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season,
Giving Tuesday is the opening day of the giving season.
Businesses and individuals across Atlantic Canada are helping to raise funds for the Red Cross in a variety of fun and creative ways.
For example, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, if you tune into radio station 96.5, they'll play your request for a $20 donation. At the Red Stag Tavern in Halifax, you can text to donate for a chance to win a prize.
In PEI, workplaces such as Garden Home, Whisperwood Villa, Car Stevenson McKay and HRA are having dress-down days to encourage employees to donate.
You can support the Red Cross by participating in an event near you.
Or, you can text
redcross to 30333 to donate $5 from anywhere. Text donations will be matched by the law firm McInnes Cooper, a longtime supporter of the Red Cross in Atlantic Canada, until December 4th.
